Artist Statement

My body of work has been inspired by the natural world that surrounds us. I respond to nature, and work with it, in order to produce an organic outcome.

I engage with natural forms such as leaves, mud, and river water, instead of conventional art materials; this is done intentionally to ensure that my work is kept as natural as possible.

I produce my abstract paintings by pressing and moving natural objects, and throwing organic substances onto and around the surface of the canvas. This has meant time has been integral to my practice.
